Long Island Area Council of Unitarian Universalist Congregations and the Student Activity Fund Advisory Committee is pleased to welcome Ginger O'Neill as the new Student Activity Fund Program Director.
"Ginger has shown great commitment to growing our faith on Long Island," reflects Laurice Grae, LIAC Executive Director. "As a co-director of our Sophia Fahs Camp in 2024, she proved herself an invaluable team player and a creative leader unafraid of taking risks to help grow the program."
Ginger combines between 20-30 years of experience in the nonprofit, finance, and education sectors, she looks forward to working with young adults from UU congregations at the beginning of their careers through the SAF program experience.
"As a Long Islander and a Unitarian Universalist for over 25 years, I am extremely proud to have a program like SAF represent Long Island Unitarian Universalists," O'Neill says.
Ginger endeavors to spread the positive values of the Unitarian Universalism on Long Island, especially during this unique time in history. In her free time she is also a singer, playwright, and a teacher on the weekends.
Ginger's official start date was in December and she can already be found meeting with young adults and parents at congregations across Long Island. She can be reached by email at safdirector@liacuu.org for any further inquires.
